Our under 17's mixed squad took on Sheffield Wednesday in a showcase game Thursday night and showed a performance they can be proud of.

In the first half, FSA came out strong and dominated the ball creating 1 or 2 great opportunities. It was until the half-hour mark when FSA took the 1-0 lead. A great breakthrough on the right hand side by Kenny Bellamingle allowed him to advance into Sheffield Wednesday's box and convert from 7 yards out. The first half continued in the same vein and FSA lead 1-0 at the break.

Sheffield Wednesday started the second half strong and began to take control over the game by putting FSA on the back foot. However after a reshuffle in personal and some fresh legs, FSA re-gained control. Our team was able to convert another 3 goals, with Sam Carroll scoring 2, and George Hughes putting himself with 1 goal onto the scoresheet. It was another great experience for our players and coaches who once again displayed a quality and resilient performance against a top academy side. We are eager to hear back from Sheffield Wednesday about potential opportunities for our players.
