FSA PRO had an fantastic opportunity to visit Premier league side Wolverhampton Wanderers and test themselves in the latest showcase encounter.
In a hectic opening spell FSA PRO nearly took the lead after hitting the crossbar from 6 yards in the first minute of the game. As expected Wolves started to moved the ball really well and FSA PRO had to show excellent work rate and resilience to limit scoring opportunities. Cole McNulty started to look a real threat on the right side when FSA countered making some excellent runs and being found well by Theo Braham. On the opposite side, Jasper Clarke and Harrison Boot combined well both in and out of possession to keep the score level whilst offering a threat going forward. Heading towards half time, Louis Patrick and Kaden Green made several important blocks to keep the game scoreless right up until the final minute of the half. In the 45th minute Wolves caught some needed kick as the ball had looked to have gone out of play, leaving the FSA PRO defence off guard and on their heels, the Whistle didn’t come which left Wolves with the opportunity to put the ball in the goal from 5 yards and take the 1-0 lead just before the break.
The second half was again played at a good tempo with both goal’s threatened but both defences holding firm. FSA PRO kept the pressure on as the looked for the equaliser, Aiden Neal could have brought the game level with 2 late chances and Smith Roshaun volleyed over in the final minute of the game but it was Wolves who held on as the game finished 1-0 to the premier league hosts.
