FSA PRO Leicester scores a 90th minute equaliser to take a point in the Cat One.
The game started fairly even with both sides keeping good possession and looking to test out the opposition defence. After 14 mins a cross from St Brendan’s found its way into the goal after a scrappy piece of defending resulted in the ball being poked into the bottom Corner. Austin Parish made a couple of good saves as the early goal seemed to knock FSA Pro for a spell. St Brendan’s could have gone further ahead before half time but missed a couple of great chances to leave FSA Pro still in the game at half time.
Halftime helped FSA Pro regroup and a couple of changes saw a much improved second half display. Lotredge muteera had a fantastic opportunity to level after a finely weighted through ball from Jake Warren. Rizvan Hussain came close moments later after a great Pharrell March run found him unmarked on the edge of the area. A great first time effort was excellently save by the away goalkeeper who was very good throughout. With pressure building up and a failed penalty appeal FSA Pro left it until the final minute to equalise when the referee pointed to the spot after a handball inside the area. Sam Carroll stepped up to calmly place the ball into the top corner to make the score 1-1.
Fulltime: FSA PRO Leicester 1-1 St Brendan’s
Man of the Match : Pharrell March
