Despite being the better side for large parts of the game, FSA Pro Leicester exit the last 16 of the cup in a frustrating tie losing at home to Dereham (DESA).
FSA PRO Started very brightly dominating possession and creating some early chances. Josh Agunda found himself driving into the area on a few occasions but was crowded out before he could finish off what was a great run. Sam Carroll also showed excellent close control in the attacking third and was unlucky not to finish after beating 3 players around the box. The ball continued to spend a majority of time in FSA Pro Possession but the Dereham defence held firm and restricted FSA Pro to half chances. The occasional attack in the FSA Pro half was well managed by the defence with Taylor Match excellent throughout. That was until the 35th Minute when under little pressure and a lack of communication an FSA back pass went directly into the net after a mix up with the Goalkeeper. This knocked FSA Pro confidence but going into half time the tie was still up for grabs with FSA Pro still looking the better side.
The second half was more even as FSA Pro pressed for a equaliser. Louis White went close with a volley that was well saved by the Dereham Goalkeeper. Devonte Kahn crossed in some excellent balls into the opposition area with FSA Pro going close again on a couple of occasions again with Louis White getting on the end of them.
As FSA Pro continued to push for an equaliser but were dealt another killer blow when giving the ball away at the back resulted in a well worked finish to double the Dereham lead on 68 minutes. FSA Pro changed shape and looked to get back into the game but Dereham defence held strong and they managed the game really well to see out the remaining few minutes and move onto the quarter final.
Final score: FSA Pro Leicester 0-2 Dereham (DESA)
Man of the Match: Taylor March
